Holiness can be both a blessing and a curse.it can be a blessing because God will honor your commitment to him, and he will use you in a mighty way on a daily basis.  It can be a curse because your mere presence can bring out the worst in others.  This was realized in the life of Christ.  He lived in the constant care and protection of his Father because of his obedience and love.  Yet those all around him were either attracted to him or replused by him, depending on the condition of their hearts.  The religious leaders of the day eventually had him crucified, partly because he constantly made them aware of their emptiness, corruption, and self seeking religious practices.  The religious leaders, the most respected men of the day, were reduced to reviling, spiteful, plotting assassins simply because Jesus healed a man who was blind (John 9:13-34).  As a follower of the Master, you will also experience both blessing and curse.

Your holiness will being out the best and the worst in others (John 15:18-25).  Your commitment to God will reveal their lack of commitment.  Your love for God will reveal their indifference or opposition to God.  Your desire to please God will show their desire to please themselves more clearly.  Whatever you do and wherever you go, you will be a light that will reveal the deeds of darkness.  You will also be like a lighthouse that shines through the night, leading ships to safe harbors.  Rest assured that your life, once given wholly to God, will impact your workplace with the powerful truth of Jesus Christ.  You will be surprised by the people who will notice your life and come to you inquiring of the difference between your life and that of others.  They will see Christ shining through you.
